dAmnStyler is a script written in Javascript for use in any browser that allows the use of custom userscripts, such as Mozilla Firefox and one of the extensions made for it called GreaseMonkey. The script adds new functionality to dAmn, allowing it's users to change the appearance of their chatrooms, see the changes made to other rooms by other users of the dAmn Styler, plus a few other nifty tricks. Chatroom customizations are made by allowing each chatroom to define it's own appearance using custom CSS stylesheets.
Lo_OKY HERE!
Installation Whether you are a pre-existing user of the dAmn Styler, or someone who has never had the script installed before:
From now on, please install the script from the following page on my website...
To those of you who may have pre-existing installations: If you think you've had a previous version of this script installed, please ensure that you install an up-to-date version of the script now from the link above, and check the list of userscripts you have installed to ensure that there is only the newest version of the script installed.
Having multiple versions of the scripts installed can cause problems and the script may stop working. If you find that you have more than one: keep the most recent script and delete all other versions of the styler script.
The newest script will have the newest date and version number in its description. Older scripts will either have an earlier date/version#, or will not mention anything about a date or version. (A dAmn Styler 2 userscript with a description starting with "A few goodies for dAmn..." is an example of an old version, and should be deleted and replaced with the newest version.)
Features!
Chatroom To define the custom stylesheet for your chatroom, dAmn Styler requires that you place an invisible HTML tag within the chatroom title. The Styler has a "Room Settings" dialog box which will do this automatically for you.
Other Features:
Personal Skin - The Styler allows you change how dAmn looks in general by setting your own CSS stylesheet as a skin. You can even disable Chatroom Styles so that the Styler acts purely to skin dAmn, if you're that way inclined (Your personal skin can be set in Preferences)
Blacklist - If you come across a chatroom that has CSS that you can't stand, simply add it to your Blacklist and the custom styles will disappear!
Note: There are probably a few bugs here and there, so if you come across any please do tell me so I can fix them. Also, any suggestions and feedback is always welcome!
Updates: - [2 July 2008] Moved script to new server, fixed issue with scrollbars snapping back to bottom when trying to read past chat. Also added a Refresh Styles button to the menu which will refresh the stylesheets to show any changes. - [4 June 2008] Added a fix that stops the scrollbars from other chat tabs from showing through from behind the current room. Not sure if it's a Mac-related issue or not, but it was simple to fix. - [2 June 2008] Fixed the problems with automatic append/removal of abbr tags to title, and implemented an error message if user doesn't have privileges to change title.

dAmnStyler 2 by =sumopiggy is a script that allows you to apply CSS to your own dAmn chatrooms! Customization made easy :) (Suggested by ~The-Iguana and Featured by $Moonbeam13)
Also, I found that if you use the "Room Settings" menu to put your css in the title, it breaks the title, causing all the links to die and have to be painfully retyped.
Doesn't work like that, it sends the same message to the dAmn server as the /title command, so if you don't have the privs to change the title of a chatroom, then dAmn wont let you. There's no way to bypass this via userscripts as far as I know.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
