I'm back!

I've been sick with a bad case of stupid-waste-of-time-online-multiplayer-game addiction. But I'm proud to say that I have overcome my shameful obsession and have my inspiration back. I dunno why it took me this long to do so :|

ANYWAY, my 'first' artwork is this: another cloud study (Yay!)

Want the story behind it? No? Well here it is:

Well, over that past week I set about changing my website into a blog. I finished, and was submitting my good ol' tutorials when I thought I should write a new tutorial about how I do my pictures. I've had plenty of requests for this sort of thing, and have attempted to do one in the past. The problem was that it felt too forced last time, because I kept saving individual progress shots, which broke my concentration.

Well I decided to try to start a new picture anyway, then decided I would record the various keypoints of my progress with Photoshop's SnapShot tool; this kept the whole process a lot more fluid.

Blah blah, this is what I came up with, and you can be expecting the tutorial/walkthrough in the next couple of days or so.

This peice could be considered a "quickie" for me, when compared to my previous artworks. It took about 3 hours I think. All done in Photoshop, with the help of my trusty Wacom.

Enjoy, it's great to be back. Sorry for neglecting you for so long, DeviantArt. I missed you dearly.

That's quite beautiful man :) The edges of the clouds are a bit too sharp imho, but blah, I don't really care. Pretty amazing you did it in 3 hours, well, to me it is. I like the colors you chose. Looking forward to the walkthrough.
I, too, have been suffering from a stupid-waste-of-time-online-multiplayer-game addiction, but I'm doing art again, so yay and yay for you too.

Very beautiful. I love of how fluent the purples diverse into the orange hues; the blue and greens constrating in the background of the sky compliment everything well; all down to the horizon line. The reflelctions are done very great and clean; too.

Hm. What game by chance were you playing?

I guess it was just my excitement to be doing this again.

Hmm, the game ... eek. MapleStory. THERE I SAID IT. I have no idea why it attracted my attention for so long, I mean, look at it. It's like an interactive childrens program =(

Haha yea, all of the sudden this week I had no urge what-so-ever to play the game ever again, and it's the best decision I've made it a long while :evillaugh:

Thanks for your comment and critism! The cloud edges are pretty sharp, and the lighting isnt very good. Iono, I sorta just did whatever came to mind, and the result wasn't too bad really =D

Anyway, apparently there's a Online-Multiplayer-Game Addicts Anonymous! (OMGAA?? Lol cool) Maybe we should sign up?
I dunno, I don't think I need any therapy, already over it completely =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I like how clean and solid your strokes and colours are. As usual you're delving into something new, and this is a valuable study for sure. I can't wait to see what's next.
