Here's a sketch based on a reference image that a bunch of us are all doing sketches of. For this one I had the reference photo open beside the canvas for reference, I used the eye dropper tool a bit to get the right colours (dunno if this is cheating or not but not too bothered, I'm going to concentrate on controlling the brush first then start working with my own palette later.) But apart from that it's all me

I don't think it's cheating just eye dropping a colour. If you like a certain palette, then there's no harm ... there's a lot of work to put in after that!

It's a good piece with a lot of atmosphere. Lovely.

Lookin pretty neat mate. It's so hard with regular brushing in comparison with sci-fi. I find it insanley hard to get any relismin my pieces I've worked on so far. Might be the reason why I'm not uploading any mattes quite yet
