This is beautiful. Sumo your brushing skills are unmatched. If only I had a tablet! I'm sure that makes it a lot easier. Anyways, this looks gorgeous. Though personally Im not a big fan of the color scheme, it doesnt take away fromt eh fact that this is one splendiforous piece. The detail is so apparent that I dont know a good adjective to describe it :blushes:

I can only think of one thing:
I  you

Hey Sumo. :D Nice work, man. Keep it up.

Hey, here's a challenge for ya. Have you tried doing the Horsehead Nebula? :D

Others I can think of would be classic supernova halo nebulae. They'd be fun to work on. I may even try one myself someday.

And I'm so used to the defaults anyways I find it hard to use anything BUT them for painting, myself. :D Plus, you can't beat the soft fuzzy-edge brushes for certain types of stroke and detailwork.

(Yeah, just ask Sumo about how to do some types of nebulae, and you'll see what I mean, guys. ;) )

I might one day :P
Just start playing around with the default brushes in PS, preferably with a tablet, and see what you come up with.
Theres no easy way of making them, like not just a few filters, so it would be like trying to teach someone how to draw :P
Anyway, Thanks

The starfield could use some colour outside the nebula. Only that its not just black and white.
And the larger stars should be smoother. I'd use non-noised stars for the bigger ones.

well i was just replicating the type of starfield I saw in the nasa pic.
None of the stars were made using the noise filter, most of them were made by a custom brush Ive made.

the hard brush u have used in this has giving the nebula a defined look thus its sharp and jelly like itt looks 1000000x better than soft brushed nebulas am trying to pic up this technique for nice my friend :)

Very nice peice sumo. The colors are the main thing that draw me to it. I main problem I see wrong with it is, as somebody already pointed out, it doesn't look very 3 dimesional. So maybe work on that? Other than that great peice

yea, you get a lot of critisism, and you try to fix it, but as you're going through, if completely changes into a brand new peice...happened to me a couple a times too :)
