Antidote by sumopiggy Antidote by sumopiggy
:w00t: Finally got time to paint a new nebula!! :D

I would've submitted more art lately if it were'nt for some "technical difficulties" (Mainly me losing the pen for my tablet :hmm:)
But now I'm back and raring to go, with a brand-new, shiny Wacom.

Anyway, I thought I'd name this piece Antidote because I really missed doing digital painting in the last few months, and now that I finally can again it seems to be an antidote that makes me happy :D :P (Maybe it's the coffee :o )
And it looks kinda antidotey anyway...

I hope you love it :D

You have a style that is, truly, unique! And truly an art!

this is spacescape at its best, and one of the best representations of how much artists' technique and vision of the spacescape have evolved.
the color is gorgeous, very well balance between the dyad, blue and orange. throwing in a few analogous of yellow you have a very strong establishment with color here. the whispy line corresponds with the gasy structure of the nebulae. the silohuette really brings out the contrast between the deep cold space and the robust nursery of stars.

overall i have no complains about your piece. although i thought the glows of the stars can be controlled just by a little bit, especially in the lower right where we have several similar size of the star giving out similar size and value of glow. maybe that's something to look upon.
superb performance! this comeback packs a punch!

Thanks alot man, for the brilliant comment :D
I'm glad you like it. I really tried to use lots of colour in this one, and get away from the colour combinations I normally use, and I am very proud of the result:)

Neat nebulae. Good to see you back after so long.

I've been dealing with tech probs of my own. Aka: Direcway vs. DeviantART. :P Round Two. I thought I'd gotten back that last time, only to have the "Failure to Connect to Web Server" thing again. Eh. I'll live, and ONE DAY I WILL RETURN!! *cackle*

But hey, keep up the good work, k? Enjoy your Wacom. Some of us poorer folk don't have that luxury in tablet choices. :D
