Bright veins of ethereal gas swirl around to form this gasy nebula.
-- Done all in Photoshop, with a soft brush and a small custom brush for that blotchy texture in parts.
Been working on this for the last week or so on and off, the original is 2000x3000 px
This was really more practising brushing than an intended piece.
This is definately one pretty picture. I love the color scheme and the flow/motion of the entire thing. The few stars floating about look so cool and make this even more elegant. Wonderful work
Astounding. The top half was all I could see at first, of course, and it looked amazing. However, the bottom half doesn't quite look as hot. If I had to guess, I'd say it's because the top is merely strands of the phosphoring material, whereas the bottom half attempts to convey a sense of depth. A suggestion I'd give is to bring out the light / dark contrast more. You seem very timid about being bold with colors - you've been more daring with each successive piece, but I think there's still the washed out hues in places, and it's fighting the sense of depth.
I don't know how helpful this was, but at least know that you may want to consider toying with the saturation in future work.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
